Founded in 1985, the company specializes in the installation of structural steel and electrical equipment in substations of electrical power, and this, throughout the territory of the province of Quebec. For twelve (12) years, the company has acted primarily as subcontractors and has done important work while building an excellent credibility.In 1997, a restructuring of the company allows Construction St-Arnaud inc. to expand its expertise and act as a general contractor.

Indeed, Construction St-Arnaud inc. is now able to pilot projects while focusing on construction and rehabilitation of substations of electrical power networks, power transmission and communication, underground pipes and all work related to these activities.


As a leader in the construction of electric power networks and power transmission, team of Construction St-Arnaud's mission is to provide its customers innovative solutions and works of high quality while respecting budjets and timelines.

Because we feel that the health and safety (H&S) for our employees is important, Construction St-Arnaud’s management is committed through this policy, to provide a healthy and safe work environment for its employees, subcontractors and suppliers.

Construction St-Arnaud's management  is committed to :

  • Planning and directing the activities needed to achieve the H&S objectives and providing all ressources and means in the pursuit of these objectives.
  • Apply and enforce all current laws and regulations
  • Provide training assistance and supervision to our employees to intensify  knowledge on occupationnal health and safety and enable to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Encourage employee’s involvement and responsability to occupationnal health and safety.
  • Doing business with subcontractors compliant with the company’s guideline and procedures.

The employee is committed to:

  • Actively participate in the achievement of the H&S objectives and prevention activities.
  • Adhere to safety rules and procedures
  • Carries out his tasks in a way that does not expose himself or his co-workers to risks of accidents
  • Report hazards in the workplace to his general foreman or site superintendant.

The employer’s representatives (Superintendant, general foreman), promote among employees which they are responsible for, to put in practice the H&S objectives and ensure to make available to all, the necessary means and ressources to perform their duties in a safe manner.

The Occupational Health & Safety Committee supports and advises stakeholders in all activities for the prevention of accidents.

Construction St-Arnaud advocate practices to manage its affairs responsibly for the environment and require compliance with environmental clauses of the client and the laws and regulations enforced by the ministry of sustainable development, environment and fight against climate change. Approaches and procedures in matters of environmental protection are specific to each project and are an integral part of the prevention program of Construction St-Arnaud.
